Hollywood Undead - Desperate Measures
The hip-hop/rock band returns with their second album, but alas, it's not as good as it sounds like it's going to be, for their fans.
The group is still the same, with Charlie Scene, Da Kurlzz, Funny Man, Johnny 3 Tears, Deuce, and J-Dog.
This is a new album, yes, but not quite. There are three new songs, three covers, one remix, and a few live tracks. The new tracks are okay, with the only one really being memorable being 'Dove and Grenade'. The covers might even be considered musically blasphemous, with covers of 'Shout at the Devil' by Mötley Crüe, 'Immigrant Song' by Led Zeppelin, and 'Bad Town' by Operation Ivy. They're okay at the first two covers, but the last one is really the only one I care about. The horns sound a bit fake on it, but I like the energy they bring to it.
The live tracks just 'okay' too. There's really nothing interesting about them, and the studio versions are better, but the version of 'Everywhere I Go' is kind of interesting, with more guitar. Speaking of 'Everywhere I Go', it appears on this album in the form of a remix, which really doesn't sound that much different than the original, except for added guitar and the vocals sounding a bit different.
I really can't get too in-depth with this. Check it out if you're an HU fan, otherwise you might not enjoy it.
