I've got tons of old records at my dad's house, but I'm not there right now, so I thought I'd talk about the vinyls I have that I've gotten as gifts, or I've purchased myself.
First up is a gift from my brother a few Christmases ago, the 'They Say' single by Scars on Broadway:
That right there just looks cool. Sorry I couldn't find a bigger image. I still need to hang that up on my wall or something one of these days. Looks pretty rad, wouldn't you agree? Do people still say 'rad'? Is it still hip to say 'gnarly'? Is it still cool to say 'hip'? Is it still.. Screw it, I'll never be accepted.
That's right, I own this baby right here. 'Evilive' by the Misfits, a live album with Glenn Danzig on vocals. Dunno if it's rare or not, but even then, I may not part with it. It's even got one track with Henry Rollins supplying guest vocals, on 'We Are 138' I think it was. Don't even dare to tell me that isn't cool. Or hip. Or happening. Or gnarly. Or rad. Or absolutely friggin' neato. Pick one of those, but don't tell me it's not that.
Mr. Bungle's 'Disco Volante'. I saw it, and I just had to have it. I love this album, and I love the look of this vinyl. Still need to do something about it.
I need to get a record player one day, but before anyone starts to buy me one for Christmas, I'd probably never use it. Just if anyone has one laying around, be sure to let me know, I'll give you a handjob behind the Olive Garden for it, or inside of it, even. Hell, one in front of your parents for all I care.
