Short / Mini Tops: A Daring Trend for Spring / Summer 2012

Fashion Trends for Spring 2012
The fashion trend that we are going to show you in this post is not suitable for everyone. That is just for the most daring women, and we are talking about really daring women.
In point of  fact, many times there are trends that are strong suggestions from the runways but they are not well adopted out there. Well, today maybe we are talking about one of those trends: Short tops (also known as mini-tops). They look like strips on chest that are used like a sort of T-shirt. And they are good enough if you want to wear like a true fashionista for a fashion magazine of if you are going to go to a fashion week event… however they are not very appropriate to go to work, or shopping, or go for a drink with friends.

During last fashion week events in different cities, we could see a common and eye-catching trend: The most important fashion brands were launching their own version of short tops, whether a single product or a set of different items used almost through the whole collections. Joseph Altuzarra, for example, opted for short tops with sheer fabrics in black and closed neck.

Corset-shaped tops and mini tops with vegetable prints were a clear choice for the Italian designer duo Dolce & Gabbana

With sleeves and uncovered shoulders, some designs from Emilio Pucci make us remember of Jennifer Lopez’s look in a music video… yes, we are talking about that song: Ain’t it funny (see video below). After all, she is a daring girl, right?
