Faith No Man is the band that was made up before Faith No More, with only two core Faith No More members being in it. Bassist Billy Gould and drummer Mike Bordin. This was before Mike Patton or even Chuck Mosley was in the group.

Faith No Man was made up of bassist Billy Gould, drummer Mike Bordin, keyboardist Wade Worthington, and guitarist/vocalist Mike Morris.
Unlike the alternative/experimental/metal/avant garde/other sounds of Faith No More, Faith No Man has a real gothic-rock/post-punk thing going on.

Faith No Man only put out one single, with two songs on it.
Billy Gould and Mike Bordin are awesome as always, excelling at their instruments. Wade Worthington is okay for a keyboardist. And Mike Morris is surprisingly a good vocalist, but still my least favourite out of the three main lead singers the Faith No bands have had.
First track is "Quiet In Heaven", it's a standard gothic song, I guess, but it's got a real 80s thing going on for it, almost like The Cure, I don't know how to explain it. It has a strangely addictive sound to it, though.

Second track is "Song Of Liberty", in my opinion, the worst of the two. It kinda drops the feel from the first one and goes immediately into rock. With a certain guitar rhythm playing throughout most of the song. It's alright, I guess. It's a nice ending to the single.
The thing that really brings this down is the sound quality, they probably recorded it in a garage, and it shows. But there is a certain amount of personality to each song that makes it strangely alright. They'd be better re-recorded or remastered with Mike Patton on vocals, however.
