Faith No More - Introduce Yourself

The line up remains the same. The production quality changes for the better, and they're back to give you a lesson in the lost art of being a man.

'Faster Disco' begins the album pretty well. Chuck still isn't the best at singing. But he's gotten better. So have all the other members at their respective instruments, not just in the song, but the whole album. It's alright.

'Anne's Song' has an awesome bassline that'll leave you crying to your mother. And a guitar solo that almost sounds like two guitars being played at once. The problem? Chuck seems to be mostly talking during the song, but it kinda fits it. Not a bad one at all.

'Introduce Yourself', the title track, is a fast punk-rock song. Fits in perfectly after Anne's Song. Hectic and quick, it clocks in at just over a minute and a half.

'Chinese Arithmetic' is one of the highlights of the album. Chuck and FNM doing another rap-metal song. Chuck is actually good at rapping and yelling, which is surprising. The song has some great instrumentalism, too.

'Death March' isn't one that gets played a lot by me except when I'm listening to the full album. A typical dramatic 80s keyboard-rock song.

'We Care A Lot'... now this is what I'm talking about! A rerecorded version of the title track from their first album. Mostly known as the theme song to 'Dirty Jobs'. Features Chuck rapping about politics and the world over some nice instruments. Featuring the iconic chorus of "It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it!" and some choice lines such as "We care a lot about you people, about your guns, about this war we're fighting, gee, that looks like fun!" makes it a sarcastic spin on the average political song.

'R'N'R' is a rock song, with a rapped portion of Chinese Arithmetic appearing as a yell, which makes me wonder if Chuck did that just for the heck of it, or if he really does suck at lyric writing. It's alright.

'The Crab Song' is another definite highlight. It's a song that starts off slow with an acoustic guitar about a guy who loves a girl, who says the wrong thing, causing his girl to leave him, probably for another man. Probably based off of a real life experience. It's all smooth and quiet until it quickly goes into another rap-metal song. Chuck is mad. Chuck wants to kill someone. And Chuck wants you to know this! Great.

'Blood' is another metal song, it isn't the best on the album, but there's no reason this should be skipped.

'Spirit' is a good closer for the album, but again, Chuck, man, your singing... but back onto this, it has a nice feel, and feels kind of epic, actually,

I give it a 7/10.
