Tokyo Runway 2012
The Tokyo Runway 2012 Spring/Summer event will continue to combine premium brands with popular models. The focus now seems to be on medium-high end boutiques and new labels (that are still pricier). But like the Tokyo Girls Collection, focuses on clothing for the masses as opposed to high fashion.
Notably absent are many of the popular mainstream names featured at TGC. But the show makes up for this by choosing to go with sheer quantity of unique brands. In total, more than 30 brands will be making their appearance at the Tokyo Runway 2012 Spring/Summer. Also, unlike the competition, the Kobe Collection has consistently displayed a small number of popular foreign labels such as Armani Exchange and Jill Stuart. The Tokyo Runway will likely appeal to an older audience and those looking for a more exclusive look.
