I've been kind of critical on his solo work in the past, mainly because of the direction he was taking his music and the terrible guest spots, not him specifically, and it feels like he's heading in a better direction with this single, and the last one, 'America'.
His flow has gotten better, even if it does feel like he's trying to emulate Eminem, and he's picked up on something that the fans love: Singing verses, or his brand of sing-rap verses. He raps for some of the verses, and then has a part where he has a singing verse. He's easily better at singing, but his rapping is certainly catching up.

But while his flow has evolved, there is, yet again, at least I suspect, a verse in here that has to do with Hollywood Undead. Really, Deuce? You have to bring this up again and again? It's not like it's news to anyone by now, and Hollywood Undead doesn't even listen to your songs, so it's not like they're actually hearing your disses, and even if they did, they probably wouldn't care.
That aside, this has actually gotten me a little bit more excited for his debut album coming out soon, 'Nine Lives'.
