Less Than Jake - Losers, Kings, and Things We Don't Understand

less than jake, losers kings and things we don't understand, vinnie fiorello, chris demakes, roger manganelli, ska
The boys are back with their second album, a compilation of some of their first EPs, their very first material recorded.

Fans of their newer material should stay back, because this is raw, underproduced, and at times not even ska, just their style of punk, back when it was only Chris, Roger, and Vinnie. No idea what line-up is on this album because it's not even listed.

I just wanna get right into this review. Some of the songs will appear bad to you if you're not already an LTJ fan. They seem like they were mixed in Vinnie's garage with bad recording devices, Chris can't really sing that well, Roger still hadn't figured out how to really sing so he's mainly just there to yell stuff on occasion.

Some of the songs are real keepers, like 'Econologed' and 'Lucky Day', while some songs honestly aren't that great. Among the original songs are three covers, which are the Laverne and Shirley theme, Dukes of Hazard theme, and '867-5309 (Jenny)', originally by Tommy Tutone.

I really can't find a way to go more in-depth about this album. If you're an LTJ fan and like Pezcore, go for it. If you're not, leave it and get one of their other releases.

5/10

Strangely I cannot find any of the tracks on this album on Youtube.
