Prada Parallel Universes - 12 Animated Gifs for Prada by Graphic Designer Vahram Muratyan.

Graphic designer Vahram Muratyan, best known for his Paris Versus New York series of posters and book has collaborated with uber luxe fashion brand Prada for Parallel Universes 2012, a series of animated gifs.

Prada describes the project as follows:

The creative path imagined by graphic designer and artist Vahram Muratyan, is a virtual road/paved/with Prada 2012 spring/summer men's and women's accessories, which highlights through rapid and intuitive movements two parallel universes that meet under the auspices of Prada style.

Prada Parallel Universes is an exercise that grows out of the drive to experiment with, and to match, new communications media and Prada’s semiotics; to be consistent with the present without nostalgia.

This dreamlike yet virtual story was entrusted to the Armenian born illustrator Vahram Muratyan. Through his adopted city of Paris, Vahram recently came into the limelight for his newly published book Paris vs New York, a work of art which compares the two great cities with graphic signs exploring their different similarities.

The same intellectual path is followed by Prada in its spring/summer collections dedicated to accessories.

Kenzo and Vans Present Their First Collaboration. A Peek At The Sneaks.

Kenzo and Vans have collaborated for the first time: from May to July, three capsule collections of Vans shoes will be available. First up is the Era skate shoe, revisited by Kenzo’s designers in seven different colours, and available mid-May in both men's and women's models, with prices starting at €90 ($119).




“We grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles and we’ve been fans of Vans since we were very young: we have so many pairs of their shoes that it would be impossible to count them”, explained Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, Artistic Directors of Kenzo since July 2011 and also founders of the American label Opening Ceremony.




The three collections will be on sale in Kenzo’s boutiques, on Vans’s website and at a selection of retailers such as Colette, Harvey Nichols, Bosco Milan and Lane Crawford.

Sexy Decks For Charity. 3X1 + Photographer Ben Watts Limited Edition Skateboards.

3x1 founder and designer Scott Morrison has partnered with famed photographer Ben Watts to create a limited edition series of skateboards for charity featuring some sexy sirens.








Lovely ladies Jessica Hart, Lake Bell, Elsa Hosk, Behati Prinsloo and Chanel Iman were shot in 3x1 jeans and little else for five board designs including 3x1’s logo along with Ben’s signature diamond motif and Hipstamatic lens borders.

On April 5th, the decks will be revealed and the price will be bumped up in the 3x1 store in New York and online , but it's all going to good causes selected by the mega-beauties, including Food on Foot, Polaris Project, Goods for Good and Keep A Child Alive.
