Blink-182: Possible hidden 'Neighborhoods' theme?

Blink-182 is made up of Tom Delonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker, but I'm sure most of you know that. They went on a break a few years ago, and only just recently reformed.

But these guys broke up in the first place because of Tom Delonge, he wanted to do some solo stuff, and it just ended terribly. Many people hated him for it, and after reforming the band, some were still hesitant to like him again, afraid to trust him for some odd reason, when it's not like he had sex with their dog or anything (Blink-182 fan joke, for you pop-punk plebians), so a lot pretend to have something against him. I don't know, what he did was a dick-move, but he admitted that, and has owned up to it.

Naturally, they addressed things in the past about not being punk enough in songs, so if they had to make a song dedicated to that, how could they let something this big just be swept under the rug? Travis was angry, and Mark was especially angry at Tom, and everyone knew this when it happened. Many fans thought they just left out any references to the breakup, but I, and a lot of other people have noticed a little clue in the actual music.

Mark and Tom used to be the absolute best of friends.. But how quickly are they able to let go of things?

tom delonge, mark hoppus, blink-182A poll was taken, 76% of the teenage girls on the internet thinks Tom is adorable in this photo, and 100% of them think Mark just crapped himself.

In the track 'Heart's All Gone', it almost sounds like Mark is singing about a girl, or some think a political figure..

mark hoppus, blink-182, +44, hoppus on music, a different spin with mark hoppus, heart's all gone"You seemed so sweet at the start, but the start's all wrong, you say you speak from your heart, but your heart's all gone."

If you look at it the right way, doesn't that almost seem like it's about Tom? And the kicker is, while most Blink-182 songs feature back-up vocals by whichever member (Tom or Mark) isn't singing lead, such as Mark backing up Tom, and Tom backing up Mark, this song features absolutely no back-up vocals from Tom, it's all Mark. No big deal, right..?

Wrong.

Next track is 'Wishing Well', in which Tom talks about taking a chance on something, and having it mess him up by failing on him. Possibly talking about what he wanted to accomplish outside of Blink-182, but ended up messing up so much more..? And just like with 'Heart's All Gone', no back-up vocals. It's just Tom here alone.

Still not convinced? Mark Hoppus said back when the first Angels and Airwaves album came out that some of the songs on there were ones he and Tom wrote, instrumentally, and just expanded on a little bit. If I remember correctly, Tom Delonge gave Mark Hoppus no credit on it, and then there's a line in 'Wishing Well' that goes "I got caught like a little kid stealing" possible connection? Not saying it is, but hey, it kinda makes sense when you think about it.

Lastly, 'Kaleidoscope', sung by Mark Hoppus and Tom Delonge together. Mark said before that it's about teens trying to find a job, but Mark sometimes says random stuff that isn't true, and while it may actually be about that, the lyrics for it just don't fit.. I tried reading the lyrics over and over with that in my mind, but I just can't connect it to that idea, but when I connect it to Tom and Mark getting over the band's breakup, accepting their mistakes, and moving on as friends, it just seems to fit so perfectly into place.

They're best friends again, and they said their friendship has gotten even stronger than it's ever been. They've learned from their mistakes, and they're back to cause mischief and mayhem as not bandmates, not friends, but brothers.

"No reason, no action, no silence, no help here. Nobody came running up by my side.. It's the first time I'm worried of a bad dream, of a journey. On the highway, through the valley, it's a long road through the night. It's a long road to get it right.."

Maybe me, and other people are just reading into this way too much, but still. Let me know what you think in the comment section?
